Mad as a March Witch-Hare: upcoming talk

Back despite popular demand, I will joining the lovely people at Battle Folk and Fable Festival later this month.

The talk is called ‘Mad as March hare-witch: strange creatures in Sussex folklore’. Sussex is home to some truly weird and wonderful beliefs, customs, and tales. Animals like birds, bees, and hares feature in the historic county’s folklore, as do mystical creatures such as fairies, dragons, and Black Dogs.

So please come and listen to some of the county’s most fascinating animal ‘tails’ and learn how to tell your wish-hounds from your hare-witches!
